One of the most famously inherited rings of our generation is the ring that Prince William has given Kate Middleton. Iconic in its' style, featuring a 12 carat oval Ceylon blue sapphire which is surrounded by a cluster of 14 diamonds and set in 18-carat white gold. The ring was chosen from a selection presented by the then Crown jewellers, Garrard of Mayfair, by Lady Diana Spencer for her engagement to Prince Charles in 1981. Prince William was clear about his sentimentality towards this ring 'It is very special to me. It was my way to make sure my mother did not miss out on the excitement that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together.'

One of our most recent commissions was from a customer who wanted to change the design of her engagement ring, but did not want to loose the sentimentality attached to it. The customer had seen a design by Tiffany that she loved and the team at Form Bespoke Jewellers created a design around her existing diamond which as set in the centre. The customer was part of the process from start to finish and was absolutely delighted with her new ring, especially as it still had the original sentiment within it and they had created it together.
