• Keeping the sparkle:

Many people think that if you give your diamonds a rub over the top that this will bring some life back to them... What you need to do is place it in some warm soapy water (washing up liquid is perfect, not very romantic but it does the job), leave it for a few minutes and then give it a brush with something similar to tooth brush, the important bit is to make sure you get in and around the back of the diamond/s.

If you were to clean just the top of a diamond the light is still hindered from reflecting around correctly and the diamond could still look dull. Then give your jewellery a rub with a soft cloth to dry it.  Viola
