Stage 3: Preparation, Setting, Finishing Stage 3: Preparation, Setting, Finishing Stage 3: Preparation, Setting, Finishing

Once the piece is returned to us it's ready to be cleaned and then goes through several processes before it's set and finished.

A casting comes to us with quite a rough finish, so we then clean it up with the use of various files, emery paper, and finishing machinery.

The piece may even be part polished before it is set to ensure the best end product is achieved.

Setting
Once the piece has had a certain amount of preparation it's then ready to have the diamond or gemstones set in to place.

There are lots of different styles of setting gemstones: grain, rub, claw, channel and pave to mention a few. You'll hear of many more but they are usually just a take on the four mentioned, all of which create different looks and styles.

Finishing
Once the diamonds/gemstones have been set comes the final finishing polish or the satin finish. If the metal is white gold it will be rhodium plated. The rhodium plating is a fine coating of a precious metal, which is applied electronically, giving the piece a brilliant white finish.

Having been in the trade for many years, and having been involved in manufacturing, we have put in place the very latest finishing techniques and compounds that result in the highest standards being achieved, so you are assured that the finished product sparkles to your heart’s content.

We assure you we're perfectionists and you'll notice the difference.
